Grasky Endurance Coaching Full Week Triathlon Camps include the following features:Personal attention--a week of attention with a professional coach or coachesOur coaches are top age group triathletes and pros and have been on the podium at Kona, have raced at the Best of the US Championships, have won numerous races and hold course records, have been first out of the water at Ironman New Zealand and Ironman Coeur d’Alene; are professional mountain bikers (for those interested in XTERRA racing) and hold coaching certifications in USA Triathlon, USA Cycling, and USA Track and Field.Heart rate zone setupHeart rate zones are important in training and when utilized properly can lead to dramatic gains in performance. Athletes will perform a field test and the coaches will help set up heart rate zones.
Strength & core trainingCoaches will demonstrate strength and core training, a crucial component to successful racing
One-on-one form work on swim, bike, and run with video analysisCoaches will analyze swim, bike, and run form throughout camps. Underwater swim video analysis will be taken and will be critiqued in the evenings after the MVP awards.
Discussions on race execution, nutrition, and training equipmentEvenings are a great time to discuss concerns every triathlete has, such as mental training, race day execution, nutrition, and equipment. These “lectures” are more of a question/answer session and topics are flexible.
Professional bike fitsBike fit is as important as training and nutrition. An uncomfortable, or improper fit will impact your training and in turn impact your racing. Brian will analyze camper’s bike fits as needed to ensure they’re “tuned” in correctly.
Great AccommodationsAll of our training camps include accommodations in the price, so all campers need to do is show up. Sometimes campers will be in a hotel or resort, sometimes a cabin. Single accommodations are always offered (cabins will always include a shared bath however). We believe location is very important; therefore we always stay where we can ride directly from the hotel or cabin. We try to be close to a pool or open water…usually no more than a 10 minute drive to open water, and trail runs are never far away, sometimes directly out the door of the hotel or cabin. We believe in spending time training, not sitting in the car.
High training volumeCamps are a great time to get in those extra miles that are usually difficult due to life, job, and family commitments. We take advantage of the entire day and pack in a full day of training.
Amazing Goody BagsI don’t want to say too much, but ask campers from previous camps…the goody bags are awesome and we have a lot of great sponsors who donate goodies.
Sag SupportAll of our camps have sag support provided for the longer rides. No need to worry about being stranded with a flat tire or broken chain, or running out of water or nutrition. We have you covered.
Park/Pool FeesEntry fee costs to mountain and national parks and pools are included in the camp fee.
Nightly awardsEvery night, a daily MVP award will be handed out to one camper who went above and beyond throughout the day. Awards always include gift certificates and gear. Beware...the daily MVP is responsible for that day's blog post!
Train with PowerAll camps are sponsored by CycleOps, and GEC now has PowerTap wheels available to demo during the camp. Camp attendees can receive special PowerTap pricing if they choose to purchase a PowerTap.. \n
